Facilities

The Facilities Department is committed to maintaining healthy and modernized learning environments for students. This includes Measure A Bond planning and projects, a Master Facilities Plan to address future needs and enrollment projections, attendance area boundaries, VUSD facility use, developer fee studies and energy efficiency.

Developer Fees
The current developer fees are as follows: Residential at $4.79 per square foot; Commercial/Industrial at $0.78 per square foot.

Please take notice that pursuant to Section 6062a of the CA Government Code, information concerning the collection and expenditure of fees by the Vacaville Unified School District, made in connection to the approval of development projects will be available beginning May 13, 2024 on the school district’s website. The information will be discussed and the public will be able to comment at a public hearing at a regular meeting of the Vacaville Unified School District Board of Education on June 13, 2024. The information is available to the public  and may be obtained in person at the Vacaville Unified School District Educational Services Center, Facilities Department, 401 Nut Tree Rd, Vacaville CA, 95687, by calling Ms. Jennifer Kincaid, 707-453-6138 during regular business hours or by email at [email protected].


Maintenance & Operations

The Maintenance and Operations staff respond to approximately 3000 work orders per year, providing many services essential to the well being of VUSD students, visitors, and personnel. The maintenance and operations of VUSD facilities is accomplished by several service divisions.

The Maintenance Electrical Division performs maintenance and repair on HVAC units, electrical repairs and installations, lighting, fire alarms, freezers, ovens and projector installations.

Our Structural Division provides maintenance and repair in all aspects of carpentry including roofing, doors, siding, windows, locks and keys. In addition our structural team pours and finishes concrete.

The Mechanical Division maintains and repairs all plumbing at our sites including boilers. This division also provides such services as welding, and fabrication of parts as needed.

The VUSD Grounds Division maintains all of our District's grounds and playing fields including mowing, marking, irrigation installation and repair, chemical application, asphalt, fencing repairs and integrated pest management for all sites.

Our Custodial Division is responsible for cleaning, light grounds work, stocking supplies, setting up and taking down for events, site security and general services, and assistance to site personnel.

The Equipment Repair Division services and repairs all of the District's white fleet and school buses including all DMV and CHP code compliance.
